No One Should Have to Feel Alone.

Sometimes the greatest gift is simply being there. Jackie’s Heart brings friendship, encouragement, prayer, and a caring presence to seniors, caregivers, and those facing loneliness.

A Caring Heart Can Change a Life.

What started as one relationship became a calling to love others. Guided by faith, Jackie’s Heart was born from a desire to share that same love, compassion, and joy with others.

Who We Serve

Seniors & Older Adults

For seniors who could use companionship, conversation, encouragement, and the comfort of knowing someone cares.

Caregivers

For those who spend so much time caring for others and need encouragement, prayer, connection, and someone to care for them too.

Those Facing Loneliness

For anyone feeling alone, forgotten, grieving, or going through a difficult season who needs friendship, hope, and a caring presence.

How We Help

Senior Companionship & Visitation

Sharing visits, conversation, calls, cards, and friendship so seniors feel seen, valued, remembered, and never alone.

Prayer & Spiritual Encouragement

Sharing prayer, scripture, and Christian encouragement so those we serve feel hope, comfort, peace, and God’s love.

Caregiver Support

Coming alongside caregivers with a listening ear, prayer, and encouragement so they feel supported, appreciated, and cared for too.

Life Enrichment & Activities

Creating joyful moments through crafts, celebrations, activities, and time together that bring laughter, friendship, and connection.

Community Outreach

Bringing caring volunteers into senior communities and homes to share friendship, encouragement, kindness, and meaningful connection.

Education & Support Gatherings

Bringing seniors and caregivers together to learn, share, and encourage one another through conversation, fellowship, and community.

Every person has God-given value and purpose.

Loneliness is one of the greatest challenges facing seniors today. Jackie’s Heart volunteers show up — consistently, warmly, and with genuine care — to ensure that no senior faces their days without a friend, a listener, and a reminder of their worth.

Prayer & Spiritual Encouragement

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

— Psalm 34:18

Whether you are facing loneliness, grief, caregiving challenges, uncertainty, or simply need encouragement, we would be honored to pray with you.

LOVE IN ACTION

Community Outreach & Life Enrichment

Jackie’s Heart seeks to bring encouragement beyond a conversation through community outreach, life-enrichment activities, care packages, social gatherings, and practical acts of kindness.

As we grow, we hope to work alongside churches, senior communities, healthcare professionals, nonprofits, and community partners throughout Orange County.

You don’t need special skills to make someone feel seen. A conversation, a phone call, a handwritten card, a visit, or a simple act of kindness can make a meaningful difference.

The Heart Jackie Left Behind

Dear Friend,

Jackie’s Heart is very personal to me. It began with someone I had the blessing of caring for, but Jackie became so much more than someone I cared for. She became my friend, and our relationship changed my heart.

Jackie went through pain and sickness, but even during those difficult days, I saw so much joy in her. She had faith, she had hope, and most of all, she had peace knowing she was going to a better place.

Jackie passed away on Christmas Day, but what she taught me has never left me.

After losing her, I began thinking about other seniors, people who are sick, and those in hospice who may be facing some of the hardest moments of their lives feeling lonely or afraid. I knew in my heart that I wanted to do something so they would not have to face those moments alone.

That is why Jackie’s Heart was created.

My hope is that we can sit beside someone who needs company, hold a hand, listen to their story, bring a smile to their day, and pray with them when they want prayer. We may not be able to change what someone is going through, but we can love them through it.

I believe God brought Jackie into my life for a reason. The peace I saw in her inspired me to carry her love forward and help others know that even during the hardest times, there can still be faith, hope, love, joy, and peace.

As we begin this ministry, I am so thankful for every person who supports Jackie’s Heart. Your prayers, your time, your generosity, and your heart for others will help us reach people who need to know someone cares.

From my heart, thank you for helping me carry Jackie’s heart forward.

With love and gratitude,
Jona Marie Astillas
